Inaugural CyberSec & AI Prague event explores ways AI can 'help us to live free, safe, and secure’

Speakers and presenters from over 11 countries combined to make the first ever CyberSec & AI event a huge success.

Speakers and presenters from 11 nations drew a sold out crowd to Prague’s DOX Gallery for the inaugural CyberSec & AI Prague in October 2019.

The core message of the conference — hosted by Avast and CTU — was that cybersecurity must find new ways to employ artificial intelligence and make the world safer and more secure.

“How can AI help us to live free, safe and secure?” Michal Pechoucek, Avast’s new CTO asked the audience in the day’s opening session. “We can solve this riddle.”

Key themes addressed by speakers during the day ranged from the complex and critical area of adversarial AI to the dangers of election hacking. Speakers included leading academics and professionals from institutions including the University of Michigan, EPFL (Switzerland), Stanford University, University of Cagliari, New York University, Berkeley, and Neuron Soundware.

In addition to the main stage sessions, delegates were able to attend an all-day poster session from PhD students and researchers from across Europe.
